<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />February 12, 1986 at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the <br />meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Present: Robischon, Zimny, <br />Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Robischon to accept the minutes <br />of the January 22 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPEARANCES: <br /> <br />Appearance of Senator Gregg Dahl. He presented to the Council <br />some of the issues at hand in this years legislative sessiQn~ <br />as well as issues he was immediately involved in. The Council <br />in turn presented Senator Dahl with some of their concerns. <br />Senator Dahl concluded his presentation by offering his <br />servfue and help if needed. <br /> <br />Appearance of Tom Snell, Anoka County Chamber of Commerce. <br />Mr. Snell's Chamber membership includes the Cities of Spring <br />Lake Park, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Ramsey, Andover, Ham Lake, <br />East Bethel, St. Francis and over 350 businesses. Their <br />requested annual contribution is $160.00 per year. Council <br />would like to further consider possible membership. Clerk <br />will put on next agenda. Clerk will also gather input from <br />member communities to Anoka Chamber, neighboring communities <br />and their disposition, as well as the North Suburban Chamber. <br /> <br />Appearance of Dean Campbell, Chief of Police - City of Lino <br />Lakes. Chief Campbell was here to answer any questions <br />referencing the 1986 Police Contract with Lino Lakes, and <br />to introduce the new full time officer Bruce Keller. Motion <br />by Wilharber, second by Zimny to enter into a contract with <br />the City of Lino Lakes for police protection in 1986, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Appearance of Terry Mauer, Maier Stewart & Associates. <br />Mr. Mauer just wanted to touch bases with the Council to <br />inform them the transition between engineering companies <br />has been made, and to answer any questions they may have <br />on the draft engineering contract. Contract was given to <br />the City Attorney for review. Clerk will put on next agenda. <br />Clerk will work with engineer on ditch cleaning and also get <br />a copy of park improvement map. <br /> <br />Clerk will contact Mary Ayde, Lake Sanitation, to see why <br />no response or appearance referencing recycling work plan. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Discussion of the maintenance of Westview Street between <br />Main Street and Centerville Lake. Motia by Wilharber, <br />second by Robischon to continue to not maintain that portion <br />of Westview Street between Main Street and Centerville <br />Lake, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Zimny, second by Robischon to allow Mr. Berg, <br />7129 Main Street, to park in the municipal parking lot <br />until February 26, 1986, thus allowing him time to make <br />other parking arrangements, motion carried unanimously. <br />
