<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />Centerville held their regular meeting on July 9, 1986 at <br />City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at <br />7:00 P.M. Present: Fritchie, Robischon, Zimny, Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Zimny to approve the minutes <br />of the June 23rd meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> <br />Clerk received complaint on speeding cars on Center Street. <br />It was decided the residents needed to petition the City to <br />lower the speed. Unposted residential streets are 30 mph by <br />state law. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Appearance of Terry Brenny, administrator and Barry Matson, <br />Director of Emergency Services, from District Memorial <br />Hospital; and Ed LaTuff, Centennial Fire District Commission <br />Chairman. Presentation by Brenny and Matson proposing a <br />satellite ambulance base at the new Lino Lakes fire station. <br />Members of the audience espressed their opinion and asked <br />questions on this matter: <br />Michele Chapeau, 7154 Shad Avenue <br />Marie Winn, 1777 Center Street <br />Dan Tourville, 6994 Centerville Road <br />Art Mohler, 1756 Peltier Lake Drive <br />Orville Hughes, 1793 Center Street <br />Mr. LaTuff, Commission Chairman reported the Fire Commission <br />had not taken a stand on this issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Wilharber to refer this issue <br />to the Fire Commission for their review and recommendation <br />to the council, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. LaTuff who is also with the Anoka County Park Department, <br />updated the Council on security at the Anoka County Chain of <br />Lakes Regional Park. <br /> <br />Mayor L'Allier will look into extending the rink screening with <br />Orville Hughes. <br /> <br />Dan Tourville And Harvey Cartier will pursue locating a new <br />city truck. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Discussion on variance request from Art Mohler, 1756 Peltier <br />Lake Drive. Mr. Mohler wants to add on to his existing garage <br />and needs a setback variance to do so. The Planning and Zoning <br />Commission recommended the City Council approve this variance <br />for the following reasons: <br />_ The lot configuration with the cuI de sac on Clearwater <br />Drive is unique to this property. <br />
