City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />March 31, 2009 <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the supplemental questionnaire and point sheet <br />would be emailed to the Councilmembers so they can see how that works. He added <br />that they can finalize the procedure at the next meeting. <br />Councilmember Paar inquired whether, if they get down to eight applicants, they <br />could interview four after one Council Meeting and the other four candidates after <br />the next Council Meeting. <br />Mayor Capra stated that she would prefer that they are all done on one Saturday. <br />She added that this would be discussed again at the April 8, 2008 Council Meeting. <br />b. Finance RFP's (Update <br />City Administrator Larson stated that he would give the Councilmembers the <br />applications that were received before they left the Council Meeting. He stated that <br />none were as complete as he had hoped. He added that there is no rush at this point, <br />and it will be on the next Agenda. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that, regarding selecting a consultant for the Bond, <br />any would be qualified to do bond work. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that Anoka County has finally got the deeds ready <br />for the surplus parcels that Centerville asked for in the Joint Powers Agreement. The <br />net cost for City is about $153,000. He added that the County will have those <br />approved by the Public Works Commission by the week of Apri16, 2009. <br />2. Local Board of Appeal & Equalization Training -Mayor Capra <br />Mayor Capra reported that three Councilmembers have been certified by Minnesota <br />Department of revenue to serve on a local Board of Appeal & Equalization. Those <br />Councilmembers are: Councilmember Paar, Councilmember Fehrenbacher, and herself. She <br />then gave the Council a brief overview of what the Board can and can not do. <br />Mayor Capra stated that the hearing process will change a little. She stated that City <br />Administrator Larson will give out sheets that are numbered, so the Councilmembers can <br />take notes. This is scheduled for April 8. She added that she has already received calls from <br />citizens who are upset about their property values being lowered. <br />Mayor Capra stated that they will hear testimony, recess, and then come back with a <br />response. <br />3. Lawsuit Re a'~ rding the 2009 Street Project <br />City Attorney Glaser stated that the only lawsuit against the City regarding the 2009 Street <br />Project was rejected by the Court. <br />X.
