<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />November 20, 2001 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof; the City of Centerville Economic Development <br />Committee held its regular scheduled meeting on November 20, 2001, at City Hall, 1880 <br />Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: EDC Chairperson Aimee Fairbrother <br />EDC Vice-Chairperson Betsy Scheller <br />EDC Committee Member Tim Rehbine <br />EDC Committee Member Paul Montain <br />EDC Committee Member Rick Terway <br /> <br />ABSENT: EDC Committee Member Bridget Backman <br /> <br />Appearances: None <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chair Fairbrother called the October 16, 2001, Economic Development Committee <br />meeting at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Approval of October 20.2001 Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion bv Mr. Montain, seconded bv Mr. Rehbine to approve the October 20. 2001 <br />meetine; minutes. Ms. Scheller and Mr. Terwav abstained. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Downtown Revitalization - Due to iack of movement on this item, no report was given. <br /> <br />UptowJ;L - Due to lack of movement on this iterr., no report was given. <br /> <br />Winter Carnival Activity - Ms. Scheller updated the committee on the status of the <br />Winter Carnival event. The event will be held the weekend of February 15 and 16 in <br />coordination with the Wargo Nature Center Snow Days and the Centerville Lion's ice <br />fishing tournament. <br /> <br />Ms. Scheller stated that she recently spoke with Doug Copy of the Snowmobile <br />Association. Ms. Scheller reiayed that Mr. Copy that although he would not be able to <br />sponsor a snowmobile race, due to insurance reasons, he would be willing to coordinate <br />another form of entertainment focusing around snowmobiles. Some examples discussed <br />included snowmobile operator demonstrations and snowmobile rides. <br /> <br />I <br />
