Rice Creek Watershed District Request <br /> <br />Dan Fabian from Rice Creek Watershed District addressed Council and requested permission <br />to use Centerville's gravel road to get to LaMotte Drive in order to access a project they are <br />working on in Lino Lakes in the Anoka County Park. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked how many trucks would be using the road and how heavy the <br />equipment was. City Engineer Peterson indicated that the road was built as a construction <br />road for building the lift station and is pretty stable. <br /> <br />Mr. Fabian indicated that LaMotte Drive was a 5-ton road and they would need to meet that <br />load restriction. He then indicated that the road would be used to bring equipment in and <br />back out and there would not be any hauling. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Capra to <br />approve Rice Creek Watershed District's use of the LaMotte Park dirt road to access <br />its pondine proiect in LiDO Lakes. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg inquired as to when the project would be started. <br /> <br />Mr. Fabian indicated that the silt fencing was in and said that dirt stripping would begin on <br />Monday or Tuesday with the schedule calling for the earth work to be done by mid-January <br />and the final plantings in the constructed wetland finished by June 1, 2002. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg questioned whether there would be any work done over the Christmas or <br />New Year's holidays and then indicated he did not feel it would be appropriate to be using <br />heavy equipment while residents are trying to celebrate the holidays. Mr. Fabian indicated <br />he did not think there would be any construction going on during the Christmas and New <br />Year's holiday. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked Ms. Moore-Sykes to infonn the residents ofthe impending <br />construction traffic. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis recommended having an inspection of the road and requiring Rice <br />Creek Watershed District to leave the road in the same or similar condition. <br /> <br />All in favor.
