2. Joe Goetz Mr. Goetz from Goetz Garden Center addressed Council concerning the Sheehy property. Mr. Goetz indicated that his main interest is to find out what Council has in mind as the best use of the property for the community because he has an interest in purchasing the land to expand his business. Council Member Capra asked what the current zoning of the property was. Mr. Goetz indicated that the property was zoned industrial and then indicated he had heard that the City wanted to purchase the property for a potential park or water tower site. He then asked if the City had purchased or intended to purchase a portion of the property and, whether Council would consider zoning the property agricultural. Council indicated that there had been some discussion of Mr. Sheehy donating the property to the City as payment for assessments but said that discussions on that matter had stalled. Council then indicated tbat it did not feel it would be appropriate to zone the property agricultural as that would be spot zoning which Council tries to avoid. Mayor Swedberg suggested that Mr. Goetz work with City Staff to determine whether his intended use of the property meets with the City Code requirements. V. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES 1. November 28.2001 Council Meetin~ Minutes Council Member Capra requested that the Centerville Principal's name be added to the Minutes as Kathy Millington. . Council Member Broussard Vickers requested that the spelling of "benefit" be corrected on Page 7. Motion by Conncil Member Nelson, seconded by Council Member Capra to approve the November 28, 200t Council Minutes as amended. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. VI.
