<br />ADMINISTRATIVE SERGEANT <br /> <br />POSITION SUMMARY-The Administrative Sergeant is responsible for all duties <br />assigned to the Sergeant position and will additionally be responsible for assisting in the <br />implementation of systems and the assigning of responsibilities critical to the daily <br />functioning of the department. The Administrative Sergeant will report to the Deputy <br />Chief. <br /> <br />The Aclminimative Sergeant must be a licensed peace officer. The Commission will set <br />minimal standards for this position. <br /> <br />TYPICAL DUTIES: <br /> <br />1. Supervise the Field Training Program including implementing, directing and <br />evaluating field training officers and assignments given. <br />2. Direct and manage the duty schedule including shift bidding, time off requests, <br />training, etc. <br />3. Direct and ensure officer compliance with job responsibilities and adherence to <br />existing systems and practices. <br />4. Monitor, update and propose strategic pl~nning critical to the on-going daily <br />operation of the department including, but not limited to, its technological <br />programs. <br />5. May participate as directed in internal investigations and grievances. <br />6. May direct and/or oversee administrative forfeitures. <br /> <br />l _ <br />
