CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg called the April 10, 2002, City Council meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. <br /> <br />II. SET AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv <br />Travis to ap\lrove the agenda as presented. All in favor. <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Member <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />III. PUBLIC HEARING(S) <br /> <br />I. Anoka County Board of Review <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg explained that the Anoka County Board of Review was at the meeting <br />to discuss property valuation upon which taxes are based. <br /> <br />Crystal Huss and John Leon from the Anoka County Assessor's Office were at the <br />meeting. Ms. Huss explained that valuations had gone up in the County between 15 and <br />20% due to the strong housing market. <br /> <br />Ms. Huss pointed out on a map the areas appraised last year and the areas to be <br />completed this year. She then commented that a basic house sells for $172,000 and <br />pointed out in the handout the definition of how market value is determined. <br /> <br />Page 1 of 16 <br />
