<br />.- <br />" <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />City ofCenterville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />Apo110,2002 <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked what years the pink and green shading on the map <br />referred to, Ms. Russ indicated that the pink shaded areas were for 2003 and the green <br />shaded areas were for 2004, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg opened the public hearing for the board of review at 6:37 p,m, <br /> <br />A resident in attendance asked how the County arrived at the amount to mcrease <br />valuation, <br /> <br />Ms. Russ indicated that the valuation increases are based on housing sales. She <br />explained that the state requires the valuation to be within 90 to 105% of what the house <br />would sell for in the market. She then explained that last year's average increase was 8% <br />and this year the increases have been as much as 20%. <br /> <br />IV. APPEARANCES/A WARDS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />V. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. March 27,2002, Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg requested that the second paragraph on Page 16 concerning the types of <br />software be removed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson, seconded by Council Member Capra to <br />a\l\lroye the March 27. 2002 Council Minutes as amended. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Personnel Flow Chart <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated Council Member Capra had asked if Council had formally <br />adopted the personnel flow chart. She then presented it to Council for consideration. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson said she thinks it is the responsibility of Council to approve the <br />organizational chart. She then said she did not think Council had approved an additional <br />office clerk as indicated on the chart provided. <br /> <br />Page 2 ofl6 <br />
