City of Centerville <br />January 14, 2004 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Abdusalam Hassen came to Council for a new tobacco license for the old Tom Thumb <br />location newly renamed Centerville Market. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated the City Clerk informed him that a BCA check was not <br />able to be conducted but the Anoka County background check was completed. <br /> <br />Council asked Staff to determine what the requirements for background checks are for <br />tobacco licenses. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to approve a temporary 60 day tobacco license for Centerville Market. All <br />in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IX. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Capital Improvement Plan & Authorizing Capital Expenditures for 2004 <br />Resolution #04-003 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, second by Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />to approve the Capital Improvement Plan and authorize capital project <br />expenditures as amended at the work session on Monday, January 12, 2004. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Possible Ordinance #4 Amendment, 24-Hour Businesses <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she would like the City to consider regulating 24 hour <br />businesses through Ordinance #4. <br /> <br />Council agreed to ask Planning and Zoning to consider it as part of the ongoing <br />Ordinance #4 amendments. <br /> <br />X. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />1. CSAH 14 <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the County will be holding a public information meeting <br />on February 19, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to discuss the different routes and <br />feasibility. The meeting is tentatively scheduled to be held at Wargo Nature Center as the <br />school is not available that evening. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra suggested holding future meetings further in advance to be able <br />to hold them at the elementary. <br /> <br />2.
