City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 23, 2004 <br />Mr. Peterson indicated it was not included in the original plan because they were not <br />aware of how much water flows through there. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers commented that the developer has the responsibility <br />to bear the costs associated with his development. <br /> <br />Council asked the Engineer to determine how much it will cost and the City Attorney to <br />determine whether the City can require that the developer pay for it. <br /> <br />Council briefly discussed the possibility of a grading inspection prior to sodding in an <br />attempt to try and eliminate drainage issues. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked whether the City needed to prepare a report at <br />the end of the slaughterhouse moratorium. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that the moratorium would expire at the end of July and no <br />report is necessary. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney read a letter from Officer Bernardy indicating that all businesses with <br />tobacco licenses passed the latest compliance check. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated she would be interested in security training <br />if there is something available on a Saturday morning. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that she has heard from residents that Dresel <br />Contracting is doing a great job of keeping them informed and they have been very <br />courteous. She then thanked them for their professionalism. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee suggested that Staff send a letter to them acknowledging their <br />efforts and thanking them for their professionalism for the work on Peterson Trail. <br /> <br />Council agreed. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated he would not be able to attend the County Road 14 <br />meeting on Thursday, June 24, 2004. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she would be able to attend. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that she is attempting to schedule SRF for a worksession on <br />July 14, 2004 before the Council meeting. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 8:13 prior to commencing the Executive Session. <br /> <br />Page 8 of 9 <br /> <br />
