City Council <br />August 11, 2004 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to approve the July 28, 2004 City Council Meeting Minutes as amended. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee abstained from voting as he was not present at the meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />IV. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />1.City of Centerville July 28 through August 11, 2004 Claims <br /> <br />2.Centennial Fire District Claims through August 2, 2004 <br /> <br />3.Pay Estimate #3, Dresel Contracting (2004 Street Project) - $343,403.46 <br />nd <br /> <br />4.Pay Estimate #4, Northdale Construction Company (Hunter’s Crossing, 2 <br />Addition, Phase I) - $112,494.07 <br /> <br />5.Pay Estimate #4/Revised, Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc., (Peltier Preserve) - <br />$39,894.78 <br /> <br />6.Acceptance of Resignation of Ms. Bridget Backman, Economic Development <br />Committee <br /> <br />Council Member Lee requested that Item 3 be removed for discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Lee <br />to approve Consent Agenda Items 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 as presented. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee asked whether the skate park pad had been corrected. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson indicated that it has not been but only a portion of the bituminous has been <br />paid for. He then explained that they intend to correct the pad by heating it up and <br />shaving off some asphalt and then smoothing it down. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated that if it looks bad or is rough he would not be in favor of <br />it. <br /> <br />Council indicated a willingness to try the recommended fix but said if it does not look <br />right or does not work properly the City would ask that it be redone. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Capra to approve Consent Agenda Item 3 as presented.
