City Council <br />August 11, 2004 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Mayor Sweeney asked Ms. Moore-Sykes to provide the Joint Powers Agreement to <br />Council for review as to whether the City can opt out of the agreement and, if so, how <br />much that would cost the City. <br /> <br />5. Gassen Companies Request to Move Mailboxes Located at 1854 Pioneer Lane to <br />Another Location (Service 1861 Pioneer & 7005 Eagle Trail <br /> <br />Council discussed the request from Gassen Companies for relocation of mailboxes and <br />asked Staff to contact them for further information, including a site plan and whether or <br />not the residents affected by this approve of the relocation. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Lee <br />to table this matter until further information is received from Gassen Companies. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. Resolution #04-040 Election Judges <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Staff recommends that Ms. Stephan be appointed as <br />Interim Deputy Clerk to take filings and filing fees in the event that Ms. Bender is not <br />available. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />Resolution #04-040 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. Visu-Sewer <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson explained that Visu-Sewer has submitted a bid to repair three sewer lines in <br />the amount of $6,015.00. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />the bid from Visu-Sewer in the amount of $6,015 as recommended by the City <br />Engineer. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Ms. Betsy Scheller, 7389 Old Mill Road (Tabled) <br /> <br />It has been determined that the proper governing authority to grant the waiver is Anoka <br />County. This matter can be removed from the Agenda. <br /> <br /> 2. Personnel Policy <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Paar <br />to table this matter to the September 1, 2004 budget work session.
