City Council <br />August 11, 2004 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes explained that Apple Tree Square does not have a developer’s <br />agreement. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft recommended sending a letter to Mr. Drilling indicating what the <br />issue is and asking him to escrow money for the trail. <br /> <br />2. Eagle Pass <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson indicated that it is possible to drain the area but that would take excavation <br />and the removal of trees. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that residents told him that they were told that the trees <br />would remain but that there would be drainage to the north. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked for a site plan that shows where all parties <br />homes are located and where the various trees and drainage being discussed are located. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson explained that the drainage is not as it was planned on the grading map <br />submitted. He then said that there is a high spot in the middle preventing flow. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked that a letter be sent indicating the problem, the <br />solution to the problem, and a time frame for compliance. <br /> <br />Council asked that it be done by September 1, 2004 or Council will authorize the work <br /> <br />done. <br /> <br />nd <br /> <br />3. Arnt Construction (Pheasant Marsh 2 Addition) - $2,408.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson explained that the final wear course was to be installed in 2003 but, due to <br />the fact that the development did not build out as planned, that was not done and <br />bituminous costs have increased and Arnt Construction is asking to be reimbursed for the <br />extra amount. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Lee <br />to approve the request of Arnt Construction in the amount of $2,408.00 as <br />recommended by the City Engineer. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />4. Construction of Water Tower <br /> <br />Tower construction is to begin in early September with the foundation to be finished at <br />the end of August. <br /> <br /> <br />5. Met Council Sewer Update (MCES) <br /> <br />Council Member Capra informed Council that the Met Council is attempting to locate <br />two huge tanks to hold overflow sewer water in Hugo. <br />Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br />
