City Council <br />August 11, 2004 <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />6. Purchase of 1601 LaMotte Drive (Tabled) <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that he has a meeting set up later in the week to discuss the <br />matter with the attorney for the seller. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee asked whether there would be an executive session to discuss <br />possible or pending litigation. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that if Council wishes to do so it is possible but said that <br />the complaint of the City Administrator was discussed after the last meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that Council Member Lee wants to revisit that issue. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated he is concerned that it may appear that the City is doing <br />nothing. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated the City Council would be recessing to executive session <br />to discuss the complaint of the City Administrator regarding hostile work environment. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated that Fete des Lacs went very well and thanked everyone who <br />was involved to make the event a big success. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes provided information to Council from George Eilertson regarding <br />funding a new police facility and on public finance. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes handed out information to Council from a man who would like to set <br />up a woodworking shop and has asked about renting the Turcotte property. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes handed out a folder with information from Mr. Bill LaLonde on entry <br />monument. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes informed Council she had received a letter from a resident on Dupre <br />concerned about the street project. She then provided a copy of the letter that was sent to <br />them in response. <br /> <br />Council recessed to executive session at 8:40 p.m. <br /> <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member XX, seconded by Council Member XX to adjourn the <br />August 11, 2004 City Council Meeting at XX:XX p.m. All in favor.
