<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 24, 2002 <br /> <br />Council Member Capra suggested Mr. Engler, Mr. Drilling and City Engineer Peterson <br />meet to discuss the drainage issue. All parties agreed to sit down and work out the <br />drainage issues. <br /> <br />Mr. Engler asked Council to look into the light at the video store because it is too bright <br />and shines in his bedroom window. He said he would like to have it turned off. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she and Mr. Palzer would look into the matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Drilling said he was not trying to pull a fast one but wanted to run this proposal past <br />Council and Eagle Trucking before presenting it as an option to Mr. Engler. He then said <br />he could leave the berm there and is not plauning on removing the fence but may need to <br />lower the grade some to achieve the proper drainage. <br /> <br />4. Emmons & Olivier Resources/Rice Creek Watershed District <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Emmons & Olivier would not be able to attend the <br />meeting and had asked to be able to address Council during a work session. <br /> <br />Council agreed to invite Emmons & Olivier to the upcoming joint work session with the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />5. Mr. Dean Havel. Bald Eagle Water-Ski Club <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if it were necessary for Mr. Havel to appear before Council every <br />year for the permit. Mr. Havel indicated that the Sheriffs Department wants him to <br />appear before Council every year in the event there may be some complaints about the <br />ski jump. <br /> <br />Motion by Mavor Swedber!!, seconded bv Council Member Capra to approve the <br />permit for Bald Eaele Water-Ski Club for a water-ski lump as requested. All in <br />favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />6. Ms. Amv Countryman <br /> <br />Ms. Cindy Borr addressed Council and provided information on the upcoming American <br />Cancer Society - Centennial Area Relay. She then told a heartwarming story about <br />"pennies from heaven" and handed out a penny to each Council Member and those in the <br />audience. <br /> <br />Council asked that the information concerning the American Cancer Society - Centennial <br />Area Relay be placed on the cable channel. <br /> <br />7.
