<br />City ofCeoterviUe <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 12,2002 <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated a public hearing and the necessity to publish the ordinance <br />two times is waived if Council adopts the ordinance as an emergency ordinance in the <br />interest of public safety. <br /> <br />Motion by Conncil Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Nelson to adopt the consumer fireworks ordinance as proposed by the fire chief as <br />an emet2encv ordinance and direct staff to use the next ordinance number. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. 2002 Budget Adiustments <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she had provided copies of the resolutions in Council FYI <br />files and then indicated Staff is prepared to ask Council approval of the resolutions. <br /> <br />Finance Director Paulseth gave a brief overview of the accounts needing funds transfers <br />for Council. She then indicated that Staff had reviewed the minutes for the last year and <br />a halfand did not find any official Council action on the 109,000 to the general fund. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if the Park and Recreation minutes were reviewed. Staff <br />indicated that only Council minutes were reviewed. <br /> <br />Finance Director Paulseth indicated she had asked the auditor if it was possible to do the <br />transfer and make it retroactive and the auditor indicated he was not comfortable with <br />that. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson indicated she thought that the enterprise fund was an active <br />account for the EDC and should not be closed. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Mcmber Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Capra to approve Resolution 02-018. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Nelson, seconded bv Council Member Capra to <br />approve Resolution 02-019. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Nelson, seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to approve Resolution 02-020. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />10. Furtd Transfers <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked Finance Director Paulseth to update Council as to the progress <br />being made with the City's finances. <br /> <br />Finance Director Paulseth indicated the negative fund balances will be taken care of with <br />tonight's resolutions. She then indicated that there were a number of capital projects <br />funds she has been investigating and will provide further information when it is available. <br />She further noted it appears there has not been enough escrow to finish the projects. <br /> <br />Page 15 of23 <br />
