<br />City ofCenterville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 12, 2002 <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers questioned whether it would be necessary for <br />insurance purposes to have employees bonded that have access to the City's finances, <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she would look into the matter and report hack to Council. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Nelson. seconded bv Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to approve consent aeenda Item 4 as presented. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if this motion would be setting up a cash policy of 50%. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes said no. <br /> <br />Vote: All in favor. Motion earried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />VII. APPROVAL OF COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />1. May 22. 2002 Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers requested the following change: On Page 3 change <br />the word Larson to Developer. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv Council Member <br />Nelson to aDDrove the City Council Minutes of Mav 22. 2002 as amended. All in <br />favor. Motion earried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />VITI. ANNOUNCEMENTSIUPDATES <br /> <br />1. Pheasant Marsh 2nd Addition. The Shores. CenterVilla. Eagle Pass 2nd Addition. <br />Uptown Center (Llovd Drilling) (Mr . Tom Peterson) <br /> <br />Lloyd Drilling appeared before Council and indicated he had faxed a letter to Ms. Moore- <br />Sykes on May 23, 2002 containing a recap of the issues with his development. He then <br />indicated that most things would be done by June 20, 2002 barring any weather related <br />delays. He further indicated he had not had any negative input from Mr. Engler <br />concerning his property. He also noted that the drainage appears to be working since <br />there was a heavy rain on Monday night and no standing water in Mr. Engler's backyard. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked how much of the Engler property was <br />affected. <br /> <br />Mr. Drilling indicated he would be glad to sod the area if that is what Mr. Engler wants <br />but said he feh it would be more maintenance for him than seeding would be. He then <br />clarified that if the small area where a load of dirt was used to raise the area two inches to <br />get the water to flow he would sod that area. <br /> <br />Page 18 of23 <br />
