<br />-I <br /> <br />City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 22, 2002 <br /> <br />Mr. PaIzer indicated that any Staff person has the ability to perform any duties necessary <br />in the interest of the health or safety of the public and the union agreement has leeway for <br />that. <br /> <br />Council agreed to leave the position as it is. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson commented she feels this is an exempt position but she <br />understands the feelings of those involved and is willing to evaluate when Council looks <br />at the new position and redefine it at that time. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra suggested looking at the position titles when the persounel policy <br />is reviewed. <br /> <br />6. The Shores - Resolution #02-015 <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member <br />Nelson to approve Resolution #02-015 as presented. AD in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimouslv. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. North Metro Telecommunications Commission Update <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that the Commission is close to reaching an agreement <br />with AT&T Broadband. <br /> <br />2. Mound Trail (Street Ut;>date) <br /> <br />This item was heard earlier in the meeting. <br /> <br />3. Joint Meeting with Lino Lakes Council <br /> <br />Council agreed to meet with Lino Lakes Council on June 17, 2002 at 6:30 p.rn. at either <br />location. <br /> <br />4. Request for Yellow Painted Areas of No Parkine- on Westview Street <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg indicated the City had received a letter from Ms. Barron asking that the <br />yellow paint be redone. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer indicated that there is old yellow paint in that area and he was confused why <br />the officer would not issue a ticket. He then said that he did not feel it was necessary to <br />repaint right now since it is scheduled to be completed in the early fall before the kids go <br />back to school He further commented that this issue stems from an ongoing feud <br />between neighbors. <br /> <br />Page 10 ofl5 <br /> <br />L_ __ <br />
