Results of a positive drug <br />or alcohol test and terms of the <br />rehabilitation will remain confidential, <br />except as provided by federal regulation. <br /> <br />8. Lawsuits Against the City. No employee may <br />discuss matters involved in lawsuits against the <br />Ci ty with any party involved in suing the City. <br />All questions pertaining to lawsuits shall be <br />referred to the City Attorney. All City employees <br />must promptly notify their supervisor in the case <br />of incidents, which reasonably may be expected to <br />result in a lawsuit. The supervisor must promptly <br />report the incident, in writing, to the City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />B. Work Hours and Rest Periods. <br /> <br />1. Work Hours. The regular workweek for employees is <br />five eight-hour working days, from 8:00 a.m. to <br />4:30 p.m., with a one-half hour lunch break, <br />Monday through Friday, except as otherwise <br />established by the department head in accordance <br />with the custom and needs of the department. <br />Every employee shall be ready to begin actual <br />operations at the employee's place of work at the <br />specified starting time. A department head may <br />modify the work hours for an employee to include <br />fewer hours, if the employee has worked more than <br />four hours overtime during the previous two pay <br />periods. <br /> <br />2. Rest Periods. Each employee may take a I5-minute <br />rest period in each half of the employee's shift. <br />Employees required to work additional shifts shall <br />be entitled to additional I5-minute rest periods. <br />Each department head may schedule rest periods so <br />as not to interfere with work requirements. <br /> <br />C. Emergency Closing of Ci ty Facili ties. When the Ci ty <br />Administrator or Mayor determines that circumstances <br />exist which pose a threat to the safety of employees <br />and public patrons, or which prohibit the normal use of <br />the City'S facilities, that person may declare an <br />emergency and direct the official closing of <br />facilities. Notification shall be by City Hall <br />intercom, telephone contact, and/or WCCO (AM radio), as <br />appropriate. <br /> <br />VI-16 <br />
