<br />2. Hazardous Substances. Any employee routinely <br />exposed to hazardous substances or harmful <br />physical agents as defined in Minn. Stat. Sec. <br />182.65 to 182.675 shall be trained before being <br />assigned or reassigned work exposing the employee <br />to such substances or agents and shall be given <br />training annually thereafter. Training shall <br />include an explanation of how and where <br />information about hazards is stored in the <br />workplace, how the hazards are labeled, and where <br />to obtain specific information. The City <br />Administrator shall provide for such training and <br />for compliance with the "Minnesota Employee Right <br />to Know Act of 1983," including the establishment <br />of specific policies to insure compliance with the <br />state law and regulations. An employee acting in <br />good faith has the right to refuse to work under <br />conditions, which the employee reasonably believes <br />present, an imminent danger of death or serious <br />physical harm to the employee. <br /> <br />3. Accidents. An employee, who has an accident while <br />on City business or while operating a City <br />vehicle, must take the following steps: (1) if <br />the employee is qualified, assist any injured <br />person. Otherwise, get assistance. (2) Call for <br />an ambulance, if appropriate. (3) Call the Police <br />Department if the accident involves a vehicle. <br />(4) Obtain the names of witnesses to the <br />accident. (5) Report the accident to the <br />employee's supervisor and file any necessary <br />reports. <br /> <br />4. Traffic Tickets. An employee who regularly drives <br />a City vehicle as a part of the employee's job, <br />and who receives a traffic ticket other than a <br />parking ticket, must report the traffic ticket to <br />the employee's supervisor during the employee's <br />next work shift. This provision applies <br />regardless of whether the ticket is received <br />during or outside of work hours. <br /> <br />VI-21 <br />
