<br />health, safety and security problem. Employees needing help in <br />dealing with such problems are encouraged to use their health <br />insurance plans, as appropriate. <br /> <br />. Employees must, as a condition of employment, abide by the terms <br />of the above City's drua and alcohol policy and must report any <br />conviction under a criminal drug statue for violations occurring on or <br />off the work premises while conducting City business. A report of <br />the conviction must be made within five @ days after the conviction <br />as required by the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988. <br /> <br />21 RESIGNATION <br /> <br />Any employee wishing to leave municipal service in good standing must submit a <br />written resignation to his or her supervisor at least fourteen (14) calendar days <br />before his or her anticipated leaving. The resignation must state the effective <br />date of the resignation and the reason for leaving. <br /> <br />The department head may waive the notice requirement if it is determined to be <br />in the best interest of the City. Failure to comply with this procedure may be <br />considered cause for denying future employment with the City and denying <br />severance pay. <br /> <br />22 AFFIRMATIVE ACTION POLICY AND PLAN <br /> <br />22.1 Policv <br /> <br />The City of Centerville will not discriminate against any employee or <br />applicant for employment because of race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, <br />national origin, 5e*- aender, disability, age, marital status or status with <br />regard to public assistance. <br /> <br />The City of Centerville will take affirmative action to ensure that all <br />employment practices are free of such discrimination.
