<br />City of Centerville <br />August 14,2002 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Council Member Travis commented that, to date, all Council had done was to direct the <br />City Attorney to prepare the warrant. He then asked if Council had agreed to move <br />forward with the warrant. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that he was planning on completing the application, <br />presenting it to the district Court Judge, getting it signed, and then bringing it to Council <br />for authorization to proceed. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked if the warrant could be obtained within less <br />than two weeks time. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson, seconded by Council Member Travis to <br />approve the execution of the administrative search warrant. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked if a letter was sent to the resident. Ms. Moore- <br />Sykes indicated she was in the process of putting that letter together and commented that, <br />unfortunately, a letter appeared in the newspaper before that letter could be sent out. <br /> <br />VOTE: All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council reconvened at 8:07 p.m. <br /> <br />4. Approval of North Metro Telecommunications CommissionlMedia Center 2003 <br />Budget <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the Telecommunications Commission is seeking the <br />City's approval of the 2003 budget for the Commission and the Media Center. She then <br />indicated that there will be a decrease for the 2003 budget because there will not be costs <br />associated with the formal franchising process. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the Commission is recommending that the PEG fce be <br />increased from 2.38 to 2.45 which is a 2.8 CPI change found to be necessary to meet the <br />goals. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if this needed to be done by resolution. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked where the money comes from. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that the City receives money from the Cable <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member <br />Capra to approve the 2003 Telecommunications Commission and the Media Center <br /> <br />Page 11 of21 <br />
