The goal of the Plan is to develop a <br />listing of the prioritized County highway projects over the next five years and to identify funding sources for each <br />project. <br /> <br />The types of projects included in the Plan are: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Safety Improvements <br />Signals <br />Bridge Maintenance <br />Design of Future Project <br />Access Improvements <br />Roadway Capacity Expansion <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Overlays/Pavement Rehabilitation <br />Crack Sealing <br />Transit Accommodations <br />Intersection Improvements (signalization and/or <br />channelization) <br />Rail Crossing Upgrades <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />As part of our work on the Plan, we wanted to contact each community in the County for input about projects in our <br />system that affect your community. We would appreciate it if you would take a critical look at your community's <br />transportation needs as they relate to the County Highway System, specifically with respect to the types of projects <br />listed above. After you have had an opportunity to do so, please contact me to let me know if there are any projects <br />you believe we should consider as part of our Five-Year Highway Improvement Plan for 2003 - 2008.
