The Meeting was called to order by Chair Varian at 7: 03 PM. <br /> <br />2. Roll Call: (Members present were) <br />Chair Varian <br />Commissioner Korst <br />Commissioner Lund <br />Commissioner Simons <br />Commissioner Heifort <br />Commissioner Mahr <br />Commissioner Grahek <br />Commissioner Swedberg <br />Commissioner Wright <br /> <br />Ex Officio: <br />Chief Heckman, Deputy Chief Makela <br /> <br />3. Public Forum <br /> <br />There were no citizens present for the public forum. <br /> <br />University of Minnesota Duluth Intern Jon Forsythe gave a presentation of the survey he <br />conducted about community policing for his college course. This was the first attempt <br />to gather information about community policing and services in the area. The cities of <br />Circle Pines and Centerville participated in the surveys. One finding was that resident's <br />do not understand the multicommunity partnership. The Commission and Deputy Chief <br />Makela thanked Jon for the report and wished him well in his continuing studies at <br />UMD. Deputy Chief Makela presented Jon with a model CLPD cruiser. <br /> <br />4. Workshop - CLPD Goals Discussion Lead by Commissioner Simons <br /> <br />There are 4 stages that need to be addressed: <br />1. Establish Priority Criteria <br />2. Establish a Rating System <br />3. Select Goals <br />4. Prioritize Goals <br /> <br />/7, <br />
