'Esta.6{iskecf 1857 <br /> <br />1880 :Main Street co Centervme, M'^L 55038 <br />(Mi) 429-3232 a :Fa:r:, (65i) 429-8629 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02 - 048 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED, AND ORDERING <br />PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR MUNICIPAL WATER <br />SERVICE EXTENSION FROM THE LAKELAND HILLS DEVELOPMENT <br />ALONG CSAH 14 TO THE SHORES DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a contract was entered into for the improvement of municipal water <br />services along CSAH 14 from the Lakeland Hills development along CSAH 14 to The <br />Shores development and the contract (bid) price for such improvement is $164,710 and <br />the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of such improvement amount to <br />$197,619 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $155,859 to benefited property <br />owners. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />CENTERVILLE,McrNNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the city is <br />hereby declared to be $41,760 and the portion of the cost to be assessed <br />against benefited property owners is declared to be $155,859. <br />2, Assessments shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over <br />a period often (10) years, the first of the installments to be payable on or <br />before the first Monday in January, 2003, and shall bear interest at the rate <br />of eight (8) percent (%) per annum from the date of the adoption of the <br />assessment resolution. <br />3, The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer and the Finance <br />Director, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially <br />assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or <br />parcel ofland within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, <br />as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment <br />in his office for public inspection. <br />4. The Clerk shall upon completion of such proposed assessment, notify the <br />council thereof <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this 9th day of October, 2002. <br /> <br />Attest <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
