<br />.. <br /> <br />Effective: 1l/22/l 993 <br />City of Centerville Ord. #59 <br /> <br />The Committee shall consist of the following: One City Council member; one Economic <br />Development Commission member; and five members of the community representing, but not limited <br />to, a cross segment ofthe community such as business clubs, business associations and the general <br />public. The City Clerk/ Administrator, director oftlle State of Minnesota Job Service Office, and the <br />director of the Job Training Center shall serve as ex-officio members of the committee. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. REMOV A..L OF lVffiNffiERS. <br /> <br />The Council by a four-fifths (4/5) vote of its members shaH have the authority to remove any <br />member of the Committee trom office whenever, in its discretion, the best interest ofthe City shaH be <br />served thereby. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. OFFICERS, ]\ilEETfNGS. <br /> <br />The Committee willl1a..me its own officers to serve at its pleasure from the membership of the <br />Committee. The Committee shall meet publicly in regular session at least once each month at a time <br />and place selected by a majority of its members. Special meetings may be called by the Chairman or <br />any three members oftlle COlnmittee, with at least a twenty four hour notice in vmting. Special <br />meetings may also be set at a regular meeting. <br /> <br />SECTION? COMJVllTTEE STAFF. <br /> <br />The COlThllittee shall receive the stlli'f services oftne Clerk/Administrator as approved by the <br />City Council within the means provided by any appropriations made therefore by the City Council. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. RULES AND PROCEDlJRES. <br /> <br />The Committee shail adopt a set of rules to govern its own meetings and procedures. The rules <br />may be amended tram time to time, but only upon notice to all members that the said proposed <br />amendments shall be acted upon at specified meetings. A majority vote afthe Committee shall be <br />required for the approval ofIhe proposed amendment. <br /> <br />SECTION 9. ABSENCE OF lVlliTvIBERS. <br /> <br />Absence from three consecutive regular meetings without the t(Jrmal consent oftlle Committee <br />shall be deemed to constitute a resignation of a member; a,"1d the vacancy thus created shall be filled <br />thereafter by appointment of the City Council for the remainder of the term of the member so deemed to <br />have resigned. <br /> <br />SECTION 10.
