shortly. My thanks to all Officers that put an extra effort in to this challenge and worked
as a team to make it happen.

6) COP/Overview from officers.

7) Schedule. Corporal McCarty and I are working on the schedule together. We go over
vacation and other related scheduling items and make sure we have staffing on the street.
Corporal McCarty is in charge of printing and making changes on the schedule. We both
made this decision so as to make things work smoother and then only person does the
actual printing of the schedule. Corporal McCarty will address the schedule more in
depth in his report.

Officer Krueger works in grid 5. Officer Krueger has nothing new to report.

Officer Bernardy has been assigned to grid 5. Officer Bernardy advised that in
gird 5 he conducted residential patrol and did business checks. Officer Bernardy also
attended the Circle Pines council meeting in regards to a business that failed the last
alcohol check. He also attended the Centerville council meeting with regard to the Best
Practices Program with Officer Corlew and Chief Heckman.

I work in grid 5 & 6 located in the City of Centerville. November was a busy
month planning for the up coming Safe and Sober seat belt challenge and department
projects. We have another project for Safe and Sober during the month of December. Its
starts December the 12th and runs until January the 5th 2003. This challenge is for the
impaired driver. I have been motivating officers to get out and do foot, bike, park and
ATV patrol. Winter is approaching quickly and we will be getting the snowmobile out
and about also. I believe that this is very important to the communities. I will continue to
keep officers motivated. During the month of November I was a call car often because of
vacation fill in and we are still in FTO with the two new officers. Grid 5 & 6 during the
month of November again was busier with calls for service; criminal activity was up
during the month with vehicles being broken in to. Patrol has been stepped up in an
effort to catch the person or persons responsible for the above criminal activity. During
the month of December I will start year end reviews on offices that I have been assigned.
I will be on vacation from December the 16th through January the 2nd 2003. I want to
wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Corporal Mike Jensen 106

3~,
