<br />City of Centerville <br />November 27, 2002 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if residents are required to attend the December 11, 2002 meeting <br />as it is the holidays and residents are very busy. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated this is an <br />information meeting only and there will be more information provided. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked Staff to post the meeting on the board outside. <br /> <br />4. Resolution #02-058 Tom Thumb Tobacco Violation <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated this Resolution is a housekeeping issue to approve the Tom <br />Thumb liquor violation by Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if Tom Thumb was notified. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated Tom <br />Thumb would receive a letter with this Resolution attached. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson, seconded by Council Member Capra to <br />approve Resolution #02-058 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimouslv. <br /> <br />5. Resolution #02-01 - Kelly's Komer Tobacco Violation <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Bisek of 7098 Centerville Road addressed Council and apologized for himself <br />and his Staff for the incident. He then explained that it was a new employee on his first <br />night and the employee was let go as he has a zero tolerance policy. He further explained <br />that he has implemented an in hOllse compliance program in coordination with the police <br />department in an attempt to prevent this type of oversight in the future. <br /> <br />Mr. Bisek asked the City to consider using the fine levied upon Kelly's Korner for the <br />fire department rather than putting it into the general fund. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg indicated the City incurs costs for the compliance checks through the <br />police department so the fine would be partially used for the police department and the <br />remainder would go into the general fund. Mr. Bisek indicated he would be fine with <br />using the funds for the police department. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra thanked Mr. Bisek for taking ownership III this matter and <br />working to correct the problem. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Swedberl!, seconded by Council Member Nelson to aDDrove <br />Resolution #02-061 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. Resolution #02-059 Transferring of Funds for Water Main Trunk Costs for CSAH <br />14 Water Main <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Swedberl!, seconded bv Council Member Travis to approve <br />Resolution #02-059 as presented.
