Motion carried unanimously. 3. November 13, 2002 Council Meeting Minutes Motion by Mayor Swedberl!. seconded bv Council Member Nelson to approve the November 13. 2002 Council Meetinl! Minutes as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. VIII. ANNOUNCEMENTS/uPDA TES 1. 1540 Peltier Lake Drive Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the work continues on 1540 Peltier Lake Drive and said she would contact the family for a progress report. 2. Capital Proiects City Attorney Hoeft indicated the complaints have been served and he has heard from one developer and will proceed accordingly. Council Member Capra asked if Council could do a motion to grant Woods of Clearwater Creek a 90-day extension City Attomey Hoeft indicated that the litigation process enables him to provide an extension. 3. Building Permit Fee Review Ms. Moore-Sykes reviewed the building permit fee infornlation with Council and indicated that the City charges up front for some things that other cities charge at a later date. Council Member Capra indicated she is concerned with charging 25% above the UBC schedule. Ms. Moore-Sykes noted that Hugo was still using the 1994 UBC schedule and they will be correcting that. Mayor Swedberg commented that it costs $11,130.04 for a furnace, air, and water heater permit in Centerville where a similar house in Hugo would be $9,613.96, however, the outdated UBC schedule may affect that number. He then said that Lino Lakes charges $7,200 so Centerville is 4,000 higher than Lino Lakes. Page 8 of 10
