All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VIII. ANNOUNCEMENTS/uPDA TES <br /> <br />1. 1540 Peltier Lake Drive <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the work continues on 1540 Peltier Lake Drive and said <br />she would contact the family for a progress report. <br /> <br />2. Capital Proiects <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated the complaints have been served and he has heard from <br />one developer and will proceed accordingly. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked if Council could do a motion to grant Woods of Clearwater <br />Creek a 90-day extension City Attomey Hoeft indicated that the litigation process <br />enables him to provide an extension. <br /> <br />3. Building Permit Fee Review <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes reviewed the building permit fee infornlation with Council and <br />indicated that the City charges up front for some things that other cities charge at a later <br />date. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she is concerned with charging 25% above the UBC <br />schedule. Ms. Moore-Sykes noted that Hugo was still using the 1994 UBC schedule and <br />they will be correcting that. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg commented that it costs $11,130.04 for a furnace, air, and water heater <br />permit in Centerville where a similar house in Hugo would be $9,613.96, however, the <br />outdated UBC schedule may affect that number. He then said that Lino Lakes charges <br />$7,200 so Centerville is 4,000 higher than Lino Lakes. <br /> <br />Page 8 of 10 <br />
