He added that Anoka County will respond if they need an additional right-of- <br />way, and that would be a condition of the plat approval. <br />City Engineer Statz stated that Anoka County also has the trail plan. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that Anoka County may ask for an additional 5 - 10 feet <br />of right of way. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the trails are now part of County projects. <br />Mayor Capra stated that she would would want to make sure that the City would be able <br />to extend the trail. <br />Councilmember Fehrenbacher stated that this has always been anon-paved lot and that <br />gravel would kick up on the trail, which may cause a problem by affecting the area for <br />roller bladders. He added that this is something they may need to look at in the future. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the City Council could wait until their next meeting <br />to make their decision, so they would have enough time to first hear from the County. <br />Mayor Capra stated that she would like to see it on a plat. She suggested that the City <br />Council approve it, contingent on them providing the 10-foot easement. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve the <br />subdivision as recommended, with the condition that the City Engineer make sure <br />the trail will line up and that they will provide additional 10-foot right of way <br />easement. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />8. Planning & Zoning Commission Recommendation for Approval of Anoka <br />Countds Reauest to Construct Visitor's Center_ 7401 Main Street <br />City Administrator Larson showed the plan on the screen. <br />Councilmember Fehrenbacher reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission had no <br />concerns, but want consideration subject to making sure adequate water and sanitary <br />service is available to the property. <br />City Administrator Larson showed the City Council the architecture of the building. He <br />stated that the County has met all the requirements. The only additional requirement is <br />the water/sanitary service. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Scott Yonke, Anoka County Parks, showed the location of the well and stated that it <br />passed the required tests and has capacity to support the additional demands of the visitor <br />center. He stated that there is an existing pump station and septic system for the RV <br />Page 7 of 11 <br />
