Authorize the City of Centerville to put its 2030 Comprehensive Plan Update into effect.

2. Advise the City:

a. To revise the text so that the description of the medium density land use category states
"minimum 5-acre density" rather than "average 5-acre density."

b. To provide the date to the Council of when the Rice Creek Watershed District approved the
2004 SWMP and the date that the City adopted the plan.

c. Participate in Council activities to monitor redevelopment in developed communities.

d. Implement the advisory comments in the review record for water supply.

Recommendation of the Environment Committee:

Approve the City's Tier II Comprehensive Sewer Plan.

Summary of Committee Discussion I Questions

Community Development Committee
Senior Planner Lisa Barajas presented the report and the proposed actions to the Community Development
Committee. Council member Georgeanne Hilker asked for clarification regarding the monitoring program in
Proposed Action 2c. Barajas explained that staff was working on developing a program similar to the Plat
Monitoring Program to track redevelopment in Developed communities. Chair Natalie Haas Steffen asked
whether the proposed action 2a regarding the density description would be controversial. Staff explained that it
was unlikely as other portions of the Update contained a full density range with 5 units per acre as the low end
of the range rather than an average. This revision would be for consistency within the document.

The Committee unanimously adopted the proposed actions.

Environment Committee
A motion to approve the City ofCenterville's 2030 Comprehensive Plan Update was made, seconded, and
passed unanimously.
