<br />City of Centaville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 30, 2005 <br />Council Member Terway stated that he felt this benefit did not need to be extended to <br />those who already have a clothing benefit. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee stated that he felt the benefit should be offered to employees who <br />are out getting dirty working for the City as well as those working in the office. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway stated that he is in favor of supplying City logo clothing to all <br />City personnel, but feels it may not be necessary for employees who already have a $350 <br />clothing budget. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar asked for Mr. Larson's opinion. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that if he were starting from "scratch," he would not provide that <br />additional $50/year to the union members. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that she supported this recommendation but would suggest that the <br />yearly amount be increased to $60 to reflect current clothing costs. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that he also feels that people in the union should not get <br />anything additional because they are already covered for clothing under their contract. <br /> <br />Motion bv CouneD Member Tenvav. seconded bv Council Member Lee. that Citv <br />emolovees who are union members and a1readv receive the S350lvear clothinl! <br />JUo..nee will continue to receive that amount and the non-union City emolovees <br />will receive reimbursement for DO to S60lvear of clothinl!. and that all clothinl! wDI <br />have the City 1020 on it. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson suggested that the union members be allowed the additional $50/year for <br />2005 and the new rates go into effect for 2006. <br /> <br />Motion amended bv CODncD Member Tenvav. seconded bv CouDcD Member Lee. to <br />include that the new dQthinl! reimbunement rules wDI be effective for alIendar year <br />2006 and that all clothins! Motion carried DDan~ouslv. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that the Police Chief stated that Center Mart and Comer Express have <br />received Gold Stars for tobacco compliance. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra suggested that a recognition certificate be created for these businesses. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson updated the Council on tbe sale of the truck to the City of Bovey for $33,000. <br />He stated that he feels the City should look at a two or three year rotation plan rather than <br />one year. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that as noted earlier in the meeting, Scott Ebel will be going to Iraq and <br />will be unable to plan the parade, so the City is looking for a volunteer. <br /> <br />Page 60f8 <br /> <br />9 <br />
