<br />Planning &, Zoning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 6,2005 <br />City Administrator Larson indicated the City always has control over easements and can <br />have anything removed if water is impeded. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Terway indicated he would have an issue with the width of the culvert as <br />the bridge would be narrower and he would not want the culvert to be much wider than a <br />bridge would have been. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated he would run the idea by Council Members and the <br />engineering staff <br /> <br />Commissioner Love indicated he would prefer the bridge as he feels it is safer because <br />you have invited crossing if you put something there to allow it and a bridge would have <br />sides for safety. <br /> <br />Motion bv Commissioner Pan.eO. seconded bv Commissioner Banzai to table. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />v. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Arcade Concrete.. 2016 Gateway Circle Landscape Redesign <br /> <br />The Applicant explained that the engineer filled in the landscape and had no input into it <br />and now they have had a landscape person redesign it to meet the needs of the building as <br />it is built. He then said that the other thing being done is adding more rock than sod to <br />limit maintenance requirements. <br /> <br />Chair Hanson asked whether the landscaping rock would fall into the definition of <br />greenspace or if grasses are required. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that this is an industrial area and that is why the City <br />may want to allow it but the City would not want to see it in other areas. <br /> <br />t . The Applicant indicated that there is still grass in the back and on the County Road 14 <br />side. <br /> <br />The Applicant indicated they have 11 trees along the east side where you drive in as they <br />felt it would be a better buffer between buildings than to screen parking lot to parking lot <br />in the back. <br /> <br />Chair Hanson asked whether the fabric underneath the rock was water permeable to allow <br />water to infiltrate rather than run off <br /> <br />Page 4 of6 <br /> <br />~i <br />
