Planning &, Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes December 6,2005 City Administrator Larson indicated the City always has control over easements and can have anything removed if water is impeded. Council Liaison Terway indicated he would have an issue with the width of the culvert as the bridge would be narrower and he would not want the culvert to be much wider than a bridge would have been. City Administrator Larson indicated he would run the idea by Council Members and the engineering staff Commissioner Love indicated he would prefer the bridge as he feels it is safer because you have invited crossing if you put something there to allow it and a bridge would have sides for safety. Motion bv Commissioner Pan.eO. seconded bv Commissioner Banzai to table. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. IV. OLD BUSINESS None. v. NEW BUSINESS 1. Arcade Concrete.. 2016 Gateway Circle Landscape Redesign The Applicant explained that the engineer filled in the landscape and had no input into it and now they have had a landscape person redesign it to meet the needs of the building as it is built. He then said that the other thing being done is adding more rock than sod to limit maintenance requirements. Chair Hanson asked whether the landscaping rock would fall into the definition of greenspace or if grasses are required. City Administrator Larson indicated that this is an industrial area and that is why the City may want to allow it but the City would not want to see it in other areas. t . The Applicant indicated that there is still grass in the back and on the County Road 14 side. The Applicant indicated they have 11 trees along the east side where you drive in as they felt it would be a better buffer between buildings than to screen parking lot to parking lot in the back.
