<br />Anoka CSAH 14 (I-35W to I-35E) Study <br />February 19, 2004 Public Information Meeting <br />Wargo Nature Center <br />Meeting Summary <br />and <br />Summary of Public Comments <br />Received through March 19,2004 <br /> <br />(prepared by: Michael A. Wozniak, AICP - Senior Planner, SRF Consulting Group, Inc.) <br /> <br />The first of three public information meetings to be held as part of Phase One of the Anoka <br />CSAH 14 (I-35W to 1-35E) Study was held on February 19,2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at <br />the Wargo Nature Center in Lino Lakes. The meeting was organized in an Open House format <br />with a variety presentation boards displayed identifYing corridor planning issues, specific <br />transportation analysis issues and a variety of preliminary transportation system improvements. <br />Anoka County, Lino Lakes, Centerville and SRF Consulting Staff were present to help answer <br />questions and listen to comments from those in attendance at the meeting. <br /> <br />. 119 people placed their names on the sign-in sheet for the meeting; and <br /> <br />. It is estimated that total attendance was at least 150: and <br /> <br />· Those attending the public information meeting included area residents, business owners, <br />lOcal government officials, agency officials, and other interested parties; and <br /> <br />. A breakdown of those who signed-in at the meeting includes the following number of <br />mailing addresses by community: Centerville (62), Lino Lakes (20), Hugo (9), Forest Lake <br />(4), and other or no address (24). <br /> <br />As part of the effort to inform area residents, business owners, and other interested parties over <br />1700 copies of a newsletter were mailed out a week prior to the meeting. The newsletter <br />included information about the study including the day, time and location of the public <br />information meeting. Also mailed out with the newsletter was a "comment" form set up as a <br />three fold mailer with the return address being the Anoka County Highway Department. At the <br />meeting a handout was provide explaining the purpose of the meeting and identifying next step <br />in the study process. Additional copies of the comment form were available at the meeting. As <br />of February 27,2004,54 Comments Forms or letters have been submitted (32 by mail, 15 at the <br />meeting). In addition, four e-mail comments/questions have been received and 7 more <br />comment/questions received through phone calls handled by Anoka County Staff have been <br />documented. <br />
