Mel11o. .'

TO: Honorable Mayor and Council Members
FROM: Teresa Bender, City Cler!V\ ~.

SUBJECT: Wedding Reception at the Trio Inn (August 28, 2004) - There Was A
Modification from Temporary/Event 3.2% Malt Liquor to a
Temporary/Event "On Sale" Liquor License

DATE: August 3, 2004

I discussed with Mrs. Judy Montain the difference between the two (2) licenses and she
requested that it be modified from a Temporary/Event 3.2% Malt Liquor License to a
Temporary/Event "On Sale" Liquor License. I have spoken with Mr. Al Erickson from
the Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division of the State. Mr. Erickson states that
the City can issue a Temporary/Event "On Sale" Liquor License to an establishment that
currently holds an "On Sale" License if the area is fenced where the liquor will be sold.

At Council's meeting ofJuly 28, 2004 you motioned to approve a Temporary Event 3.2%
Malt Liquor License. Will Council please reconsider their motion and grant a
Temporary/Event "On Sale" Liquor License instead for the event?

~
