<br />City of Centervillc <br />September 22, 2004 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson indicated that if that does happen within the warranty period it would be <br />replaced but said it is not likely to happen. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee asked what the warranty period is. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson indicated that the warranty period is one year through a freeze thaw cycle. <br />He then said that he thinks this will prevent a lot of driveways and curbs from heaving <br />since a lot of sand was added along with drain tile. He further noted that the strength of <br />the concrete is more than enough to handle passenger cars and trucks for residential use <br />and said he would meet with Mr. Okan to further discuss the matter. <br /> <br />9. Scheduling of General Election Canvassing Board Meeting (November 3 - 9, <br />2004) <br /> <br />Council agreed to set the canvassing board meeting for November 3, 2004 at 6;30 p.m. <br /> <br />10. Economic Development Committee's Request for Status of CSAH 14 <br />Widening/Downtown RevitalizationIPlanlInclusion <br /> <br />Council Member Lee suggested inviting members of the Economic Development <br />Committee to the Tri-City meetings. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated she would like to hear the ideas from the <br />Committee but, they should be in relationship to what the County has planned, otherwise <br />it would be a waste of time if the ideas are something that cannot happen. She then said <br />she would like to see the County purchase plan before working on ideas. <br /> <br />Council asked that the members be invited to the informational work session. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes explained that they feel an urgency to ensure timely application for <br />grant funds but that will need to be carefully reviewed by the City because it would <br />involve matching grant funds from the City. <br /> <br />Council asked Staff to invite them to the October 13, 2004 meeting. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Agreement for Residential Recvcling Program (Anoka County/City of <br />Centerville) <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes explained that the agreement for residential recycling is something that <br />is done each year to allow the City to receive monies from the County for recycling. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv Council Member Lee <br />to authorize enterine into the Aereement for Residential Recvcline.
