<br />SEP-3B-84 e1:36 PM <br /> <br />P ~ 13 <br /> <br />violation of this Subdivision. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Removal of Disabled Vehicles. Axty police officer shall be empowered <br />to remove any disabled vehicle left unattended for longer than twenty-four (24) hours, or <br />any such vehicle which presents a hazard to other traffic, to a place of safekeeping, and <br />any and all costs incurred from moving such vehicle shall be the responsibility of the <br />owner of the vehicle. <br /> <br />SECTION 9.19. PARKED VEHICLES - LIMIT A TJONS RELATING TO <br />OCCUPANTS. <br /> <br />Subd. I. Children Under the Age ofTen (10) years. It is unlawful for any person <br />to park any vehicle on any publiC street or in any public parking lot, and leave said <br />vehicle unattended, while said vehicle is occupied by any child under the age often (10) <br />years, for a period not to exceed three (3) minutes, and in all such cases, the engine shall <br />be shut off and the keys removed from the ignition. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Animals. It is unlawful for any person to park a vehicle on any public <br />street or in any public parking lot. and leave said vehicle unattended, while said vehicle is <br />occupied by an animal unless such provisions as included herein have been taken to <br />insure the well-being of said animal: <br />A. Windows must be left open no less than one inch, nor more than <br />three inches to allow for ventilation of fresh air, and to prevent danger to the animal's or <br />fowl's well-being from toxic fumes. <br /> <br />B. In no event shall a vehicle be parked and left unattended for a <br />continuous period of longer than one (1) hour while said vehicle is occupied by any <br />animal or fowl. <br /> <br />C. Compliance with the provisions of this Section shall not relieve <br />any owner, driver or other person having actual physical control over any parked vehicle, <br />of any liability for injury sustained by another person, resulting from the actions of any <br />animal left in an attended parked vehicle. <br /> <br />Source: City Code <br />Effective OOle: I J -5-92 <br /> <br />(Sections 9.20 through 9.29.lnelusive. reserved for future ..pan.;on.) <br /> <br />SECTION 9.30. ESTABLISHMENT OF FIRE LANES ON PRIVATE <br />PROPERTY. <br /> <br />Subd. 1. The City Fire Marshal is hereby directed to recommend fire lanes on <br />private property in order that travel of fire equipment is not obstructed or interfered with <br />and that access to buildings, structures, fire hydrants and standpipes is not blocked off or <br />obstructed. The City Fire Marshal shall submit a scaled diagram, detailing and specifying <br />the requested area of fire lanes on private property to the Council. <br />
