<br />.. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Effective: 6/6/69 <br />City ofCenterville Ord. #16 <br /> <br />designated as a stop intersection unless the consent of the Commissioner of Highways to such <br />designation is first secured. Every driver of a vehicle shall bring his vehicle to a full stop before <br />entering any sop street or intersection properly designated and posted as such by the <br />Commissioner of Highways or the chief of police. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. DUTIES OF DRNERS AFTER ACCIDENTS. <br />1. The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any <br />person or damage to any vehicle which is driven or attended by any person shall stop and <br />give his name, address, and the registration number of the vehicle he is during and shall <br />upon requests and if available exhibit his driver's or chauffeur's license to the person <br />struck or to the driver or occupant of or person attending any vehicle collided with. He <br />shall render reasonable assistance to any person injured in such accident. <br />2. The driver of any vehicle which collides with and damages any unattended vehicle shall <br />inunediately stop and shall then and there either locate and notify the driver or owner of <br />the vehicle of the name and address of the driver and owner of the vehicle striking the <br />unattended vehicle, shall report the same to a police officer, or shall leave in a <br />conspicuous place in the vehicle struck a written notice giving the name and address of <br />the driver and of the owner of the vehicle doing the striking. <br />3. The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any <br />person, shall, after compliance with the provisions of the state law and subsection (a) of <br />this section, give notice of such accident by the quickest means of communication to the <br />police department. <br />4. The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any <br />person or total property damage to an apparent extent of $50 or more shall promptly <br />forward a written report of the accident to the police department and the Conunissioner of <br />Highways. Such report shall be on the appropriate form approved by the Conunissioner <br />of Highways. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. DRIVER'S LICENSE, VEHICLE OWNERSHIP. <br />No person shall drive or operate a vehicle upon any street in the City without having in his <br />possession, as required by the laws of the State of Minnesota, a valid driver's license or <br />chauffeur's license. No person shall drive a motor vehicle belonging to another without the <br />owners consent. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. EQUIPMENT, USE OF. <br />1. No person shall drive or operate a motor vehicle on any street within the City unless such <br />motor vehicle is equipped with a muffler in good working order and in constant operation <br />to prevent excessive or unusual noise. It shall be unlawful to use a "muffler cut-out" on <br />any motor vehicle upon any such street. <br />2. No vehicle shall be used upon any street in the City without lighting equipment, a <br />windshield wiper, a rear vision mirror, a horn or other warning device, front and rear <br />bumpers, and brakes as required by the state highway traffic regulation act. Lamps shall <br />be lighted at all times when any such vehicle is operated upon the streets of the City from <br />a half hour after sunset to a half hour before sunrise and at any other time when there is <br />not sufficient light to render persons and vehicles clearly discernible 500 feet ahead upon <br /> <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
