Council Member Lee requested this be added, as a discussion on the next coqncil <br />, agen~a ~:}Vas.March 10, 2004,. City Counc:n directed ~to research what otluir cities were <br />chargmg,""it8l1ything, for Commercial & Industrial Park Dedication Fees.. , <br /> <br />The infurmation the City Clerk put together iTom the Cities ofLino LakllS.& ffugo was ~seDted to <br />City Council at the March 24, 2004 City Council Meeting. City Council requeSted this informa1:!on <br />be passed on to the Paries & Recreation Committee for a recommendation. <br /> <br />Both the cities ofLino T .like- & Hngo have Commercial & Industrial Park Dedication Fees as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Lino Lakes <br /> <br />S2,175/aere - Both Commercial & Industrial <br />51,665/unit - Residential <br />51,BOO/aere - Commercial, Indnstrial & Residential <br /> <br />Hugo <br /> <br />The Parks & Recreation Committee discussed the various options at length, Committee Member <br />Pell stated She was in wor of charging fees per acre, but Wanted an amount lower than the cities <br />current $30001unit charge for Residential Park DedicatioiI Fees. Committee Member Pell felt the <br />Various fees charged for permits was already a deterrent to businesses choosing to look at building <br />in Cemerville and wanted to keep the Park DediCation Fees lower so as to not discourage <br />businesses or appear that Centerville was not business mendly. Chairperson Peterson agreed and <br />added that Centerville's requirements for building in industrial and commercial areas were already <br />more Stringent than neighboririg communities, and although that allowed for' higher quality <br />buildings, it also kept some businesses from choosing Centerville. <br /> <br />I <br />L _ <br />
