<br />Summary of Written and Verbal Comments <br /> <br />The materials displayed at the Public Inforination Meeting were viewed intently by those iri <br />attendance and County Staff Members and SRF Project Team Members received many <br />co=ents and questions from meeting attendees. The following themes were commonly <br />addressed by both those who attended the public meeting and those who submitted written <br />co=ents: <br /> <br />. Strong support was expressed for Alternative #4. lbis alternative would include <br />reconstruction of the current alignment of County Road 14 and future construction of a <br />northern bypass with new Interchanges at I-35W and I-35E. <br /> <br />. A single individual expressed support for Alternative #5. lbis alternative would include <br />reconstruction of the current alignment of County Road 14 and reconstruction of the current <br />Interchange ofI-35W and I-35E to pennit north and south conoections to both highways. <br /> <br />. Numerous comments expressed support for construction of a 10 foot wide pedestrian/bicycle <br />trail along the current aligmnent of County Road 14. <br /> <br />. A preference to limit the width of the current County Road 14 to two or three lanes whenever <br />possible was expressed by numerous individuals. <br /> <br />Next Steps <br /> <br />Residents, business owners and others in attendance at the April 22nd Public Information <br />Meeting were informed that the next steps in the County Road 14 Study will include: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Evaluation of the regional access scenarios to detennine likely future contexts for CR 14 <br />planning. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Evaluation of the impact of those scenarios on CR 14 reconstruction options. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Continue to work with the communities and environmental agencies to understand concerns, <br />constraints and opportunities. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Detennine County Road 14 design concepts (number oflanes, roadway width, traillsidewalk <br />facilities) based on transportation and co=unity needs and environmental constraints. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Evaluate design concepts and recommend a concept for the CR 14 reconstruction. <br /> <br />H:/Projects/4994\EPlPublic MeetingslAprilMtgfMtgSumrnaryAprMtg.-maw-050104.doc <br />
