Centeroille, M!J{ 55038 (651)429-3232 . :r~(651)429-8629 May 13, 2004 Mr. & Mrs. Dave Kilian 1695 Sorel Street CenterviIle, MN 55038 Dear Mr. & Mrs. Kilian: It has been brought to the City's attention that your garage located at your residence (pIN #R23-31-22-23-0015) is in violation of the 1997 Uniform Housing Code and is considered to be a substandard building for the following reason: Section 1001.8 Faulty Weather Protection. (Garage Exterior) It has also been brought to the City's attention that your yard has the accumulation of junk, debris and garbage which is also a violation of the 1997 Uniform Housing Code and is considered to be a violation for the following reason: Section 1001.11 Hazardous or Insanitary Premises. (Accumulation of Debris Behind Garage/Shed) The junk, debris and garbage are also a violation of Ordinance #6 - The Maintaining of Nuisances within the Village ofCenterville Section 2, Subsection 1. The City is aware of your desire to construct a new garage; however, no new permit has been applied for within the last year. The following actions need to be taken to abate the above stated violations: 1. The garage needs to be painted. 2. The metal fixtures (between garage and shed on premises), timbers, poly and other debris needs to be removed. If the above repairs are not made within 60 days, I will order the work to be performed and charge the costs thereof against the property or its owner as defined in Section 160 I of the Uniform Housing Code and you may be cited according to Ordinance #6. Any person having any record title or legal interest in the building may appeal this notice and order to the housing advisory and appeals board.
