<br />Section 12.2, Employee Training: Reinstated and updated language pertaining to <br />employee education. A portion ofthe former policy did not carryover into the current <br />policy and we are not sure why. <br /> <br />Section 12.3, Travel Reimbursement: Added provisions relating to travel <br />reimbursement necessary to comply with IRS regulations, referred to as an "accountable <br />plan." <br /> <br />Section 14, Safety: Made references to compliance with City's safety policy, which may <br />also need updating. <br /> <br />Section 16, Grievances: Added language providing guidelines for appropriate action for <br />employees who have grievances. <br /> <br />Section 20.2, Code of Conduct and Ethics: Changed threshold for value of "gift" <br />acceptance from $50.00 to $5.00. This was believed to be a typo. Council should adopt <br />a separate ethics policy for elected officials. <br /> <br />Section 20.7, Confidential Information: Made reference to Minnesota Government <br />Data Practices Act. Council should consider expanding data practices policy in <br />accordance with the Act. <br />
