<br />Business Appreciation Barbeaue <br /> <br />New businesses will be recognized for expanding or starting a business in Centerville in <br />the previous year with a framed certificate and a dollar symbolizing the first dollar <br />received. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Smith, seconded by Chairperson Burke to <br />request from council expending funds not to exceed $100 for supplies associated <br />with New Business Recognition Certificates. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />Reschedulin2 of the Mav Ecouomic Development Committee Meetin~ <br /> <br />The Economic Development Committee will be holding the Annual Business <br />Appreciation Barbeque on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 which is the regularly scheduled <br />meeting date for the Economic Development Committee. The committee chooses to <br />reschedule the May 2004 meeting to Thursday, May 13, 2004 opposed to canceling it for <br />the month. Ms. Stephan will ensure this is posted. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Vice-Chairperson Backman, seconded by Committee Member <br />Smith to reschedule the May 2004 Economic Development Committee from May 11, <br />2004 at 6:30 p.m. to Thursday, May 13, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. AU in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Commercial & Industrial Park Dedication Fees <br /> <br />The Parks & Recreation Committee requested the Economic Development Committee <br />review the recommendation to council regarding Commercial & Industrial Park <br />Dedication Fees to determine if EDC had any questions or further recommendations to <br />council. The committee discussed the options and were satisfied with the <br />recommendations made by the Parks & Recreation Committee and had no changes or <br />further recommendations. The committee did want it noted that the option to receive <br />Park Dedication Fees or a portion of the property in lieu of the fees should remain <br />consistent for commercial & residential properties as it is with residential. <br />
