<br />Council Member Capra asked whether the wording of the Resolution would require the <br />City to have more of this type of housing. <br /> <br />Ms. Skepper indicated it would not. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Canra. seconded bv Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to annrove Resolution 04-019 as nresented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Resolution #04-018 Purchase Cedar Street Park from Anoka County <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv Council Member Lee <br />to annrove Resolution #04-018 as nresented. All in favor. Motiou carried <br />unanimousIv. <br /> <br />3. Eagle Pass Pond <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Mr. Palzer has discussed the matter with Rice Creek and <br />Rice Creek recommends that the pond does not need dredging at this time. Funds are <br />available and being held by Rice Creek for when the City decides to dredge the pond. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the management company has been notified of Rice Creek's <br />decision. <br /> <br />Council asked Staff to send a letter to Rice Creek confirming the telephone conversation <br />and making note that they are holding funds and the City will be looking to use those <br />funds when it is time to dredge the pond. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTSIUPDATES <br /> <br />1. Sex Offender Notification Policv <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that residents had asked her to bring this before Council <br />for consideration of creating a policy for notifYing residents when sex offenders move to <br />the City. <br /> <br />Council discussed the matter and agreed to add this matter to the next work session <br />agenda. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that the City is able to inform residents but he <br />recommended only using information obtained from the state's sex offender websiteas <br />that information has been determined to be public. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that it would not be possible to have one card key and <br />identification badge so Staff is working on getting the access cards up and running and <br />will work on identification badges separately. <br /> <br />Page 4 of5 <br />
