City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />May 13, 2009 <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the City was not successful in getting <br />stimulus money for the Trail Project. The projects funded got points for having a <br />larger local match, which was a change in what was expected. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the City still has a commitment of $790,000 <br />for 2012 funding. He stated that it may be a good idea to go ahead at this time, but <br />that would mean funding with bonds until reimbursement could be received from <br />the grant in 2012. <br />d. Tobacco Compliance Check (Pages 65-70~ <br />City Administrator Larson stated that police did a test for compliance, and all <br />Centerville merchants passed. <br />e. 2009 Street Project <br />City Administrator Larson reported that a Neighborhood Meeting was held at St. <br />Genevieve's. One of the main items discussed was the water hook-up opportunity. <br />A link was created on the City website that will be updated weekly. A message can <br />be left on the website and the messages will be checked daily. In addition a phone <br />line will be dedicated to providing recorded information and receiving messages <br />from the public about the project. <br />f. Watermain Hook-Ups for 2009 Street Project <br />City Administrator Larson reported that letters were sent to all property owners <br />(approx. 350 letters), including those on Peltier Lake Drive, offering them the <br />opportunity to connect to the watermain. He stated that thirty property owners <br />have signed up. The deadline to sign up is the Tuesday after Memorial Day, May <br />26, 2009 and the work will start in June. <br />g. Police Governing Board Meeting <br />Mayor Capra stated that the Police Governing Board is looking at changing the <br />process for measuring performance of all of its staff. <br />Councilmember Lee stated that the Performance Evaluation packages are <br />completed and Job Descriptions have been approved so the process will begin soon. <br />Mayor Capra stated that the Governing Board will review the process. She added <br />that the Board may need to have an executive session to review the performance <br />reviews. <br />h. Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />
