<br />city of Centervi11e <br />Council MeetiDs Minutes <br />November 30, 2005 <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that she would like to change the item "Climbing on trees or <br />buildings in the park" to state "Damage to trees in parks." Mayor Capra stated that she <br />understood the liability issues associated with climbing trees, but felt that the officers <br />could just ask: the kids to get out of the trees and institute the tine only if the trees were <br />dSlmlt.ged. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that, in general, he feels the tine amounts are too low. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee stated that he would like to see the penalty for illegal use of <br />snowmobile be higher. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the reasons for keeping the tine amounts on the lower side and <br />keeping them out of the County court system. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that he would like to see penalty amounts for both park <br />defacement and illegal snowmobile use be raised to $100. He stated that he is also a <br />snowmobiler, but would like people to follow the rules. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that he will take these comments to the Joint Powers Board meeting on <br />December 12, 2005. <br /> <br />v. Economic Develo,pment Committee (EDC) Reco,gnition <br /> <br />Mayor Capra noted that Mr. Paul Burke had arrived at the meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar thanked Mr. Burke for his work as the former chair of the EDC. <br />He stated that he was very instrumental in creating Cougar Cash, which makes great <br />Christmas presents. Council Member Paar presented Mr. Burke with a plaque honoring <br />his dedication and commitment to the City. <br /> <br />vm. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Kelly's Komer Liquor and Tobacco Renewal ~006) <br /> <br />Mr. Larson advised that all the renewal documents had been properly filed. <br /> <br />Motion bv CouncD Member Lee. seconded by CouneD Member Tenray to aDDrove <br />the aDDBcation of KeUv's Komer for Bauor and tobacco Beense renewal as <br />recommended by City AdminiRtntor Lanon. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar questioned whether they had paid their outstanding bills with the <br />City.
