ANNOUNCEMENTSIUPDATES <br /> <br />1. City Administrator. Mr. Dallas La.rsQ,n <br /> <br />Mr. Larson reported that the Downtown Redevelopment Task Force met this week to <br />modify planning documents and review current guidelines. He stated that there is a <br />public meeting scheduled for December 20, 2005, 6:30 p.m. at the Centervi1le <br />Elementary School. He stated that there are plans to provide on-site childcare for this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that the on-site childcare was very well received last time. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that the Task Force has talked about the possibility of locating a <br />County Library in Centerville. There is a meeting scheduled on December 6, 12:00 noon <br />to discuss this possibility. Mr. Larson stated that he would like approval to provide box <br />lunches for this meeting. <br /> <br />There was a consensus to allow for box lunches at the meeting with the County Library <br />and authorize Mr. Larson to make this type of decision in the future. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that the codification of the ordinances should be in final draft form <br />towards the end of December. He stated that the Planning Commission has a hearing on <br />zoning subdivision and flood plain regulations coming up so he hopes that this item will <br />be on the Council agenda by the end of January for final adoption. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that in 2000, the Council approved $50/year for employees to purchase <br />City shirts with logos on them. He stated that an employee recently asked if the City logo <br />needed to be on the shirt. He stated that he was unable to find the minutes reflecting <br />what the Council had specifically passed. Mr. Larson stated that there is a group of <br />employees that are unionized that currently receive $350/year for a clothing allowance. <br />He stated that, in his opinion, this group of employees should not receive the additional <br />$50/year for shirt purchases. He stated that he also feels the shirt should have the City <br />logo on it somewhere but that he is looking for input from the Council on their opinions. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee stated that he feels if the City is paying for the shirt, it should have <br />the City logo on it. <br /> <br />Page 5 of8 <br />
