Dallas Larson

From: Kelly Kunst [kelly@kjolhaugenv.com]

Sent: Wednesday, July 01, 20093:32 PM

To: Dallas Larson

Subject: Centerville Industrial Park seeding and management proposals

Attachments: Centerville Industrial Park Mitigation Proposal.doc; Centerville Industrial Park Wetland
Proposal. pdf

Dallas,
Attached are proposals from two native vegetation management compnaies that we work with quite often
and both do great work. I know you will probably have sticker shock from the proposals but keep in mind
that this includes all work that might be necessary until 2012. I asked for this time line in the proposal so
that the LGU wouldn't question whether the City is trying to cut the required monitoring/management
short. My personal opinion is that if the site prep and seeding in the areas of concern get done yet this
year, by the end of next year the LGU is likely to release the project from monitoring and management. In
other words, I think it's likely that you won't have to spend the full proposal amount. Either company is
aware that once a client meets their regulatory requirement for the project continued management is not
necessary .

I want to emphasize again the importance of using an experienced company such as one of these to
expedite this process. Otherwise the process just becomes more expensive and time consuming to
resolve.

Let me know if you decide to go forward with one of these companies or if you have any questions.

Kelly

Kelly Kunst
Professional Wetland ScientisllMN Certified Wetland Delineator
Kjolhaug Environmental Services Company
26105 Wild Rose Lane
Shorewood, MN 55331
Phone: 952401-8757 x 11
Fax: 952401-8798

This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
For more information please visit http://www.messagelabs.com/email

50

7/2/2009
