The
areas, as described by Kjolhaug Environmental Services, are 20,000 SF of wetland and
approximately 11,000 SF buffer areas. The site has been seeded previously and parts of
the mitigation contain the proper native vegetation to obtain a permit goal. However
much of the buffer and parts of the wetland dominated by Reed Canary (Phalaris
arundinacea) need to be managed and/or reinstalled. The following is a proposal to
restore the degraded areas of the buffer and areas dominated by RCG as per plan sheet
supplied to MNL.

Site Preparation:

I. Apply herbicide application to RCG and degraded buffer areas. Following
herbicide application the site should remain undisturbed for a minimum period of
10 days.

2. After herbicide die back the buffers will be re-seeded using a native mesic prairie
mix. Immediately prior to seeding the project should be worked with the
appropriate tillage equipment. This could include plowing, disking and or
harrowing. The final seed bed should be black, uniform and free of debris and
dirt clods.

3. After seeding the seeded area will mulched using prairie or weed free small grain
straw and disc anchored into place.

Page 1 of3

5>(
